The Safeguarding e-Academy has introduced a range of courses suitable for Adult Social Care Training.
The following courses have now been released:- Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults (POVA)
- Mental Capacity Act
- The Safe And Effective Use of Bedrails for Adult Patients
- The Management of Urinary Catherisation for Adults
- Falls and Fracture Prevention in Older people
- Moving and Handling Objects and People
- Dementia Awareness
A special introductory membership of £5,000 is being offered, whereby organisations can pay £5,000 (plus VAT) for 1000 licenses which can be split flexibly between any of the above courses. Organisations will also receive 200 additional licenses which can be used for any other courses provided by the Safeguarding e-Academy. 20 free licenses would also be provided for all courses that are created in 2010 and 2011, so that small pilots can be run before they are bought.
As a member of the e-Academy organisations would also be able to take advantage of the “club together” approach: developing new courses from as little as £2,000 plus VAT. The courses which are currently available in this deal are- Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLS)
- Dignity in Care
- Introduction to Social Care Law
- Tissue Viability
